Our Story
We’re the Barcia-Marino Family—a group of dreamers with a passion for family, nature, and big ideas. The story of Trillium Woods began with a vision: to find the perfect piece of land and turn it into something truly special. After nearly a decade of searching (yes, almost ten years!), we finally discovered the most incredible place—an old scout camp. From the moment we set foot on the property, we knew it was something magical.
It didn’t take long for the camp’s charm to inspire us. In fact, one of our family members walked through the gates and said, “I want to get married here!” That was all the motivation we needed. With less than a year to transform the space into the wedding venue of their dreams, we rolled up our sleeves and got to work. There were plenty of late nights and lots of hustle, but when the big day arrived, it was nothing short of epic.
The rave reviews from family and friends sparked an idea: this place could be more than just a family gathering spot—it could be a space for everyone to celebrate one of life’s most special moments.
Choosing the perfect name for the venue wasn’t easy—until we spotted a true gem of nature blooming wild along the wooded walking paths. The delicate Trillium flower, a symbol of beauty, simplicity, and charm, perfectly embodies the essence of our property. And so, Trillium Woods was born.
We took everything we loved about the camp—its natural beauty, its undeniable charm—and built upon it. Today, Trillium Woods features thoughtfully designed spaces, scenic walking trails for a touch of outdoor adventure, and a ceremony site that is as unique as it is breathtaking. (And trust us, it truly is!)
